Project Lead Medical Physics (f/m/x)

MedAustron International GmbH is a subsidiary of EBG MedAustron GmbH and implements international technology projects in the course of the construction of a new particle accelerator in the rapidly growing medical technology sector. The parent company EBG MedAustron operates one of the most modern centres for ion beam therapy and research in Europe.

 

As Project Lead the successful applicant is at the beginning of the project embedded in our Medical Physics team at EBG MedAustron in Wiener Neustadt. The core responsibility of this group is acceptance and medical commissioning of all medical products. Consequently, a QA program is set up by the Medical Physicists and also further development of the devices and methods is a core responsibility of the team.

Project Lead Medical Physics (f/m/x)

Full-time (38,5 hours weekly)

Challenges you conquer:


  • Evaluating and finalizing the offers of Medical Technical Equipment (MTE) components from suppliers and be responsible for the integration of the installed MTE components
  • Supervising acceptance testing (and commissioning) of dosimetry equipment, in-room beam delivery systems, in-room patient alignment systems, imaging devices, TPS and OIS as well as preparing acceptance testing (and commissioning) reports
  • Supervising adequate definition of intervention thresholds and development of subsequent actions to be implemented in QA programme for dose delivery and in-room equipment
  • Supervising implementation of comprehensive QA programme for periodic checks of MTE
  • Implementing of reference dosimetry for calibrating of beam line dose monitors and development of QA procedures for beam lines monitors
  • Implementing patient specific plan verification
  • Training and assisting in training other Medical Physicists that will be involved into clinical practice
  • Carrying out required medical radiation safety procedures and regulatory filings

A background that impresses:


  • Academic studies (preferable: Master or PhD degree) in Medical Physics, Physics or similar
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in Medical Physics, ideally in ion beam therapy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, a good command of German is desirable
  • Willingness to fulfull shift work (24/7) and to do business trips inside and outside of Europe
  • Strong communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment as well as intercultural competencies
  • You are a reliable and proactive person with a hands-on mentality
  • An accurate, attentive and independent working attitude completes your profile

According to the collective agreement for the metalworking industry (supplementary collective agreement), the minimum gross annual salary is € 60.000,--. We will agree your classification and salary in line with the market on the basis of your professional and personal competence (All-In contract including variable salary components).
