EBG MedAustron GmbH in Wiener Neustadt operates one of the most modern centers for particle therapy and research in Europe. Cancer patients are treated with an innovative form of radiation therapy with protons and carbon ions. In addition to cancer treatment the facility is also used for translational research.

Our Control Systems team is responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of an integrated accelerator control system and medical software of the MedAustron particle accelerator.

Become part of the Control Systems team as a

Junior LabVIEW Developer (f/m/x)

40 hours weekly, limited until December 2024

Challenges you conquer:

You develop plug-ins for our in-house developed LabVIEW framework to integrate measuring and beam steering components into our accelerator control system. This includes the following tasks:

• Participation in further development of the in-house LabVIEW framework
• Maintain and improve existing software packages
• Contribute to the completion and testing of large scale integration projects
• Development in a medical environment, using Version Control (SVN) and Ticketing Systems

• Shared responsibility for particular components and relevant documentation

A background that impresses:

• Technical university degree in one of the following fields: Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• First occupational experience in development of software, measurement or automation technology is an advantage but not a must-have criteria
• At least basic knowledge in LabVIEW
• Fluent in verbal and written communication in English; German is an advantage
• Team work is as important to you as a proactive and self-initiated mindset
• Coordination skills and accuracy complete your profile
• Willingness to participate in on-call duties
